
How to Prepare Nigerian Finger Food Delicacy, Plantain Mosa

- 1 Large sized Overripe Plantain
- 1 Cup Plain Flour
- 1 Teaspoon Instant yeast
- 1 Tablespoon Onions, Chopped
- Pinch of Salt
- 1 Scotch Bonnet Pepper, Chopped
- 1 Cup Vegetable Oil
- Wash and peel off plantain skin then transfer to a bowl.
- Chop the plantain into small sizes and blend. But make sure it’s very smooth.
- Sift the flour, add yeast then mix properly.
- Add Chopped pepper, onion and salt.
- Combine flour mixture with plantain batter and allow to stand for at least 40minutes.
- Add vegetable oil in your fry pan. Test the heat of the oil, once it’s hot, scoop plantain batter and form a ball, then drop into the oil.
- Allow to fry evenly till it is golden brown.
- Once it’s done, transfer into a sieve to drain.
