So, Where Will This Journey Take Me?

Change generally is never a walk in the park and lifestyle change is a daunting task,However, like a wise man said, “madness is doing the same things yet expecting a different outcome”.I will say the first step in the process of a better and sound financial future is the desire to change your financial lifestyle. That desire is what should naturally necessitate you asking yourself the following;

Where am I financially?
Is this the place I envisioned myself 5, 10, 15 years ago?
Am I currently on track to reach my lifestyle goals?
Am I happy with my current financial position?
Is there something I can do differently to be better positioned financially?
If I lost my job or for some reason and can’t work for the next 6 months, can I sustain my current lifestyle?
If I chose to stop work in 5 years to pursue my passion, will I be able to survive until my passion earns me income?
What will happen to my loved ones if I died today?
Am I putting my money to its best use?
What will my savings be really worth when I need it? The inflation question
Am I indebted and do I have the capacity to repay this debt when due?

These and more are some of the questions you need asked and answered to begin the process of change in your financial decisions. I am personally in the habit of asking myself questions because I agree with Anthony Robbins when he says,“Most of us, when we see someone of extraordinary capability or someone who seems to have a superhuman capacity to deal with life’s challenges, think things like, ‘they are so lucky! They’re so talented! They must have been born that way.’ But in reality, the human brain has the capacity to produce answers faster than the “smartest” computer on earth, even considering today’s micro technology with computers that calculate in nanoseconds (billionths of a second). Just like a computer boasting tremendous capacity, without an understanding of how to retrieve and utilize all that’s been stored, the brain’s capacity means nothing. I’m sure you’ve known someone (maybe even yourself) who has purchased a new computer system and never used it simply because he or she didn’t figure out how. If you want access to the files of valuable information in a computer, you must understand how to retrieve the data by asking for it with the proper commands. Likewise, what enables you to get anything you want from your own personal databank is the commanding power of asking questions.” I believe the place to begin this journey to see a change in your personal/family or organisations finances is to begin asking questions and answering them honestly.

Coming face to face with the most difficult questions in life gives you the opportunity to face your fears, and finding the right answer may just be the exact place to begin the journey to the change you so greatly desire.Interestingly, you are not likely to see every twist and turn in the journey ahead. There will be bends, mountains, valleys and more than you probably bargained for. But, in the end, it is all worthwhile.The fact that you know your desired destination, that vision of a full and free financial future is all you need to begin this journey.So, ask yourself today, “Where will this journey take me…?”
