Below is a list of women  heading top positions under Joe Biden’s AdministrationUnited State of America President-elect, Joe Biden, is set to assume office on Wednesday. According CNBC’s report of Biden’s speech on November 7th in Delaware, he said, “From the outset, I wanted a campaign that represented America; and I think we did that. Now that’s what I want the administration to look like.”Following his promise, Joe Biden has listed out individuals who will join him to make decisions and shape the policy of America through his first term. Apparently, over half of his cabinet are women and while the Democrat’s cabinet appointees are awaiting approval by the Senate, we have compliled a list of the women to be vetted.
Janet L. Yellen
She has been picked as the Treasury Secretary. Janet Yellen was the former Chair of the Federal Reserve. Also, she would be the first woman to lead the Treasury. This role would give her power over U.S. fiscal policy.
Avril Haines
She has worked as the Deputy Director of the Central Intelligence Agency from 2013 to 2015. Avril Haines would be the first woman to serve as the nation’s top intelligence official.
Gina McCarthy
She would serve as Joe Biden’s Climate Czar, coordinating environmental policy throughout the administration. Gina McCarthy was the former Environmental Protection Agency chief and National Resources Defense Council.
Deb Haaland
She has been selected to oversee the Interior Department. Deb Haaland would be the first Native American to lead the department that determines policy for federally-owned natural resources.
Jennifer M. Granholm
She is to become the Secretary of Energy. Actually, her experience in Lansing from 2003 to 2011 would help Biden to speed-up the transition of the country to electric cars.
Katherine Tai
Katherine, the Chief Trade lawyer, has been picked by Joe Biden to be the U.S Trade Representative.Others include Linda Thomas-Greenfield (US. Ambassador to the United Nations), Rochelle Walensky (Center for Disease Control and Prevention Director), Jennifer Psaki (White House Press Secretary) and Neera Tanden (Director, Office of Management and Budget Director).Finally, Kamala Harris is the Vice president-elect of the United State of America. Kamala Harris will be the country’s first female vice president.
