As a busy mom who has to work hard, managing work-life balance is a priority. Motherhood demands a lot from you and it’s a struggle to juggle both having a child, and building a successful career. 

Here are some tips to maintain great work-life balance without feeling overwhelmed as a busy mom:

 
  1. Prioritize Your Tasks: Categorize your tasks not important and urgent ones. Work on important and urgent tasks first before others. This applies to both your life and work.                                                                                                                                                 
  2. Have Realistic Goals: Setting realistic goals will help you achieve them easily, instead of going over the top on things you want to do at home and at work, you should look at things that are obtainable for you.                                                                        
  3. Delegate: Put others in charge of tasks that you cannot perform by yourself. Assigning some chores to kids, family members or having an assistant is a great option. This relieves your workload, and help you manage stress.                                            
  4. Time Blocking: Time blocking techniques help you put tasks in a specific time frame you want to get them done. You can have specific time blocks for personal, work, and also fun activities.                                                                                                              
  5. Know when to Say No: Accept when you’re swamped and can’t take on an activity or do something. Even when its at home, and you know this will affect your health and you need rest, please do not hesitate to take needed rest.                                              
  6. Leverage on technology: Use scheduling apps, budgeting, meal planning apps that can help shopping, hep you stay up to date, plan yourself well, and also help you manage yourself better.                                                                                                                    
  7. Spare time for yourself: Being a busy mom may require you to place focus on kids and just your work, creating time for yourself for things that will make you happy like going to the spa, a park you like, or activities you enjoy will take stress off you, and make you happy. :
