One of the most important holidays in the United States is Thanksgiving Day. As the name connotes, Thanksgiving is a day dedicated to expressing gratitude for the blessings received. It’s a season to spend quality time with your family, friends, and loved ones while enjoying a feast that symbolizes the season. It’s also a time to give back to the community.

Origin of Thanksgiving

The origin of Thanksgiving began in 1621 when the Native Americans and pilgrims gathered together to celebrate with a feast after a successful harvest. In 1863, President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed Thanksgiving a national holiday and set aside the last Thursday in November as a day of celebration. Over the years, Thanksgiving evolved into a holiday celebrated by people from various backgrounds. How to Celebrate Thanksgiving Day (2)
